News and Updates

DRSS are committed to being a transparent organisation and to delivering a quality service to patients and healthcare providers and other stakeholders. We welcome visits from health care providers, commissioning organisations and patient groups both locally and from further afield to share experiences and good practice.

We actively seek patient feedback on their experiences of using NHS services, recognising that we are just one small part of the wider patient journey (see patient involvement section for more information).

A key function of DRSS is to facilitate and develop discussions between primary and secondary care clinicians and managers. Quality of referrals, referral audits, feedback, development and implementation of clinical pathways and referral criteria, improvements to referral processes (such as enhanced triage, directly bookable services on Choose and Book, improved Directory of Services, slot availability issues) and participation in Clinician to Clinician (C2C) or Clinical Pathway Groups (CPGs) are all examples of where DRSS teams can work collaboratively with providers and other organisations to ensure people get the right care in the right place, first time.

The DRSS teams endeavour to share as much relevant information with practices and providers as possible. Monthly bulletins are sent to practices and we work closely with the locality teams to channel information to practices most effectively. If there is any information that you can't find please contact the operational support team.
